Police in Albuquerque, New Mexico have reportedly ruled the official cause of death of porn star Sofia Leone to be accidental overdose.
Law enforcement officials said the nature of the fatal overdose and the specific substance involved have not been determined at this time. Police are investigating the adult film star's death in New Mexico and initially reported her death as “suspicious” and “unusual” when her body was discovered. Police said Leone was found unresponsive in her home on March 1, 2024. TMZ.

Sofia's mother spoke with police during their extensive investigation and told them that her daughter was a heavy drinker at times, and also said that Leone had had suicidal thoughts in the past, according to TMZ.

Police enlisted the assistance of homicide detectives as part of their investigation, which looked into all angles that may have led to the adult star's death. Police later ruled out homicide as a possibility, as there were no signs of trauma on Leone's body. Police have since officially classified her drug overdose as accidental, according to TMZ.

Leone was just 26 years old at the time of her death. According to TMZ, she had become a well-known star in the porn industry and worked closely with major porn studios such as Brazzers, Reality Kings and Evil Angel.
