Prescott has already won 12 straight times (they averaged 40.6 points and outstripped their opponents), and they went ahead and went 13 on Thursday. They were clear winners at the Flagstaff Eagles 68-44 margin. Given the Badgers’ advantages in Maxpreps’ Arizona Basketball rankings (19th place, with the Eagles in the 137th place), the results were not at all unexpected.

Prescott’s success was a result of a balanced offense with several players stepping up, but Zane Gaul led the fee by dropping a double double with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Gaur had been hot for a while, posting more than 10 boards in the last 11 episodes he played. Uriatenet was another key player, scoring 20 points with seven rebounds and six assists.

Prescott destroyed an offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new to the team. They now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Prescott’s victory was the sixth straight on the road, pushing the record to 18-5. As for Flagstaff, their defeats lowered the record to 14-12.

Now, Prescott will host Mingus at 7pm on Tuesday. One thing that works in Prescott’s favor is that he has posted at least 55 points in the last 14 matchups. As for Flagstaff, he’s on a road trip to face off against Coconino at 7pm on Wednesday.
