Prominent Music Producer Metro Boomin Faces Rape Allegations

The alleged victim, Vanessa Lemestre, accused prominent hip-hop producer Metro Boomin of rape in a lawsuit filed on October 29th.

LeMestre said she knew Metro Boomin long before the Grammy-nominated producer allegedly sexually assaulted her in 2016. He claimed to have trusted him. TMZ. This renowned producer has worked with some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B throughout his career. According to TMZ, LeMestre’s court documents allege that she became pregnant with LeMestre’s child after the rape, and that she ultimately made the decision to terminate the pregnancy in November 2016.

According to TMZ, the alleged victim, who lost her 9-month-old son during that time and was suffering from depression, said she befriended Metro Boomin while he was in Las Vegas in the spring of 2016. It is said that

She claimed that despite warnings from friends, he opened up his studio in Los Angeles to her and that she witnessed him abusing codeine.

Documents say she met with him at his studio in September of that year and consumed half a Xanax pill and alcohol as she grieved over her son’s death. According to TMZ, LeMestre claimed that Metro raped her and then performed oral sex on her while she passed out on the couch.

According to TMZ, she lost consciousness and woke up a second time to be told by Metro Boomin, “He’s in a hotel room in Beverly Hills and I have to go.” Lemestre said in the document that he had no recollection of how he got there.

LeMestre’s lawsuit alleges that the famous producer poked fun at the shocking incident the following year with his single “Rap Saved Me,” which featured 21 Savage, Offset and Quavo. According to TMZ, court documents cite the lyrics, “She got Zanny/And she passed out/I came from the gutter…nothing changes” as an example.

Metro Boomin created the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and co-produced most of the album’s songs.

2022 album “Heroes & Villains” nominated Winner of the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. He has performed with numerous artists including Future, Kendrick Lamar, Offset, 21 Savage, and A$AP Rocky.

Metro Boomin’s lawyer, Lawrence Hinkle II of Sanders Roberts, released a statement to TMZ saying, “This is a pure shakedown. These are false accusations. Mr. Wayne intends to defend himself in court.”

The lawsuit seeks punitive damages as well as unspecified damages for emotional pain and suffering.
