Craig County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Michelle Rowley said Thursday that prosecutors have agreed to permanently drop Bryan’s obstruction case in Oklahoma.
He said the famous country singer has proven to have stayed out of trouble since his arrest, which heavily influenced the decision to dismiss the case. TMZ. Prosecutors had previously agreed to postpone the prosecution of Bryan for six months until May 2024, Lowry added. Brian was taken into custody in Oklahoma in 2023 on charges of interfering with a police officer, and dashcam footage from the time of his arrest appears to show a violent altercation with police.

Video footage shows Brian pulling up next to a black SUV. According to TMZ, the car was being driven by one of his security guards and was stopped by police for allegedly speeding. Brian entered the scene and appeared to begin an altercation with the officer. Officers can be seen arresting him and taking him to a police car.
“Fucking cops are out of control, really!” he can be heard expressing his anger at the situation in the video. Footage of the incident was widely circulated online and ultimately led to Brian’s apology.
According to TMZ, Lowry said that the prosecutor’s decision to drop the charges will relieve Brian from any further obligations related to the case.

Brian has been making headlines in recent days for other issues after splitting from his girlfriend, Barstool Sports personality Brianna LaPaglia. She issued a public statement saying that Brian had been emotionally abusive to her during their relationship, and appealed to other women in the same situation to get out of such relationships. She claimed that Bryan’s team would offer her $12 million if she agreed to sign an NDA and remain silent about the emotional abuse allegations. Brian has not made any public comments regarding these allegations.
