The union's support for the recall comes shortly after Price accused prosecutors in the county of intentionally excluding black and Jewish jurors from death penalty cases between the mid-1980s and 2007, CNN reported. report.

“The world is watching and horrified by what we have uncovered as prosecutorial misconduct in this office,” Price said, according to CNN. “Our efforts to hold prosecutors accountable for this type of misconduct and other ethical failings have been met with resistance from the prosecutors' union since before we even took office.”
