The hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 2:30 PM In Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, DC.

The purpose of this hearing is to obtain testimony on the following bills:

• S.636establishes the Dolores River National Conservation Area and the Dolores River Special Administrative Area in Colorado for the protection of private water rights within the state, and for other purposes.
• S.912to request the Secretary of Energy to provide technical grants to strengthen domestic mining education, and for other purposes;
• S.1015requests the Secretary of Agriculture to transfer the Pleasant Valley Ranger District Administrative Land to Gila County, Arizona.
• S.1088to approve the surrender and alternative selection of land and minerals in North Dakota, to restore land and minerals to Indian tribes in North Dakota, and for other purposes.
• S.1254to designate and extend natural areas within the Olympic National Forest of Washington State, to designate certain rivers within the Olympic National Forest and Olympic National Park as Natural and Scenic Rivers, and for other purposes.
• S.1405provides for the exchange of certain federal and state lands in Utah.
• S.1622Discourage speculative oil and gas leasing and promote enhanced multi-use management of land and other purposes in public lands and national forest systems.
• c.1634to establish the designation of certain protected natural areas, recreational managed areas, and protected areas in Colorado, and for other purposes.
• c.1657the transfer of certain land to La Paz County, Arizona, and for other purposes to the Secretary of the Interior.
• circa 1760to include the City of North Las Vegas, Nevada and the Apex Industrial Estate Owners Association, and for other purposes, to amend the Nevada Land Transfer and Licensing Act of 1989, Apex Projects.
• c.1776to provide protection and investment in certain federal lands in California, and for other purposes.
• circa 1890establishing a grazing management program on federal land in Malheer County, Oregon, and for other purposes.
• Summer 2020amends the Oregon Resource Conservation Act of 1996 and reauthorizes the Deschutes River Conservation Working Group for other purposes.
• Around 2042to amend the Sloane Canyon National Conservation Area Act to adjust the boundaries of the Sloane Canyon National Conservation Area and for other purposes.
• S.2136require the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture to surrender certain federal lands to the State of Utah for inclusion in certain state parks and for other purposes.
• S.2149to maintain the economic development and recreational use of land in the National Forest System of Montana, to add certain lands to the National Nature Conservation System, and to designate new areas for recreational and other purposes.
• S. ___, to remove certain lands in Montana from designation as protected areas for improved management of such lands and for other purposes.
