This is what America is all about.
In the wake of Wednesday’s terrorist attack in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Sugar Bowl honored the victims before Thursday’s game between Notre Dame and Georgia. (Related: Security at Sugar Bowl to be ‘equal or better’ than Super Bowl)
Throughout the day leading up to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals, there was anticipation for some pretty emotional scenes as kickoff approached. And not only for those who attended the game, but also for those who helped protect the Superdome after the game. Islamic State (ISIS) related attacks. That’s exactly what happened, but more than that, this setting showed how Americans know how to come together when things aren’t going well.
During pregame ceremonies, the Sugar Bowl held a moment of silence for the victims of the Bourbon Street terrorist attack.

The scene then became epic as the Notre Dame and Georgia faithful united after singing the national anthem, “USA!” united states of america! united states of america! “Chanting. It was such an emotional moment that some people had tears in their eyes.
