Q Battery Metals Corp Increases Land Package at Pegalith Lithium Project Gatineau Region, Quebec

VANCOUVER, British Columbia / ACCESSWIRE / March 13, 2023 / Q Battery Metals Corp. (“Q Metals” or the “Company”) (CSE:QMET)(OTC PINK:BTKRF)(Frankfurt:0NB) is pleased to announce that it has added even more claims to the PegaLith Project. think. Geological and mineralogical indicators of lithium potential. Mineral claims now extend the original claim block by 300 ha, adding 473 hectares in six locations spread throughout the region, for a total of 1,409 ha (Ha). We have you covered…a few kilometers north of Gatineau, Quebec.

The claim was originally staked to cover part of a vast band of granite and gneiss that host pegmatite minerals. Additional claims have been added to cover more geological zones while adding historical mineral indications to land packages. This claim now covers, or is close to, 12 historical evidences of small-scale mining in the early 1900s to extract coarse-grained feldspar, quartz, and mica as industrial minerals. increase. Mined tonnage is reported to range from 90 to 15,000 tons of material. Apatite, tourmaline, sphene and titanite were also extracted in some mines. A geological overview of these historic mines indicates that the predominant lithology is pegmatite or other intrusive rocks.

The historic Mine Leduc is located about 6 kilometers southwest of the northern block of the PegaLith claim and contains pegmatite material (GM62505, Geotech Exploration, 2006, Not compliant with 43-101). Readers are cautioned that lithium resources that may be present in assets outside of PegaLith’s claims are not direct indicators of lithium mineralization at PegaLith’s assets.

The Q Battery Metals geology team continues to compile all available data from the PegaLith Project in preparation for the 2023 Phase I exploration program. Work will begin by locating and sampling all historically known pegmatite bodies and is expected to progress from late April to early May of 2023.
