Qantas passengers got more than they bargained for when sexually explicit films started playing on every screen during a recent flight.
The Australian airline has announced that it encountered some technical issues on its flight from Sydney to Tokyo that prevented travelers from selecting their own movies. TMZ. Instead, one movie was shown on all screens. That happened to be the provocative film Daddio. starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn. According to TMZ, the film included sexting, explicit nudity and so much profanity that passengers were unable to look away from the screen.
Qantas was left red-faced after it accidentally played an R-rated movie across the plane with no way for passengers to turn it off.

TMZ reports that the ordeal unfolded during a 10-hour flight, horrifying passengers who weren’t expecting this kind of in-flight entertainment.
Travelers were exposed to the explicit content and lashed out at the airline, holding it fully responsible for the incident.

Qantas issued an apology statement to address the backlash.
According to TMZ, they wrote, “This movie is clearly not appropriate to be played throughout the flight and we sincerely apologize to our customers for this experience.”
“All screens were changed to family-friendly movies for the remainder of the flight. This is standard practice in the rare case that individual movie selection is not possible,” they said. Shocked passengers could do little to apologize, given that the damage had already been done.
