Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari said she woke up to a masked man crawling across her bedroom floor during a trip to the Bahamas in 2020.
She recalled the incident on the Dec. 17 episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari.” The “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” “The Hills” and “Very Cavallari” star relived the horrifying moment, which allegedly happened while she was asleep in bed with her young son Cam.
She recalled a time when her HVAC unit broke down and crews had to go into her home and fix it.
“That night I was in bed with Camden. Cam and I were sleeping,” she said. “Then I woke up to the sound of a man crawling on my bedroom floor.”
Cavallari went on to detail what happened when she realized there was an intruder in her bedroom.
“I obviously just woke up, so I was feeling pretty out of it,” she said.
“And I’m like, ‘What the hell are you doing?'” And this guy gets up and runs out the door, and you guys, he’s got a ski mask on, all black arms, black pants. I was there. And I thought, ‘Oh, shit,'” Cavallari continued.
The 37-year-old star said she instinctively protected her child in that moment because she was well aware of the fact that she was with her.
“But Cam was in bed with me, so I didn’t scream. I didn’t scream,” she said.
“In that moment, you think you would do it, but your instincts kick in. Honestly, I felt like I was in Mission: Impossible.”
She then began seeking help from her ex-husband, Jay Cutler. She left her son in bed to look for him and found him upstairs.

“I was so nervous when I woke Jay up,” she admitted. “Then let’s begin [to get] Like, really scary. I began to tremble, but now I was able to understand what had happened. But up until that point I wasn’t scared. It was really calming. You are just running away on instinct. ”
Cavallari went on to describe the incident as “one of the most horrifying things I’ve ever experienced” and said she has yet to tell her three children what happened.
“My kids don’t know yet,” she said.

“Long story short, he took all the cash we had in our backpacks. We ended up getting it back. We found out who it was. It was the HVAC guy. ” she claimed.
The reality star said she would only tell her children about the incident when they were adults.
