“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” star Eduardo Sol died in hospital on September 19, just one week after he was allegedly stabbed by an unknown assailant in his home.
The Riverside County coroner confirmed the 58-year-old reality TV star died at Desert Regional Medical Center. TMZSol's mother also confirmed his death to the media.
According to Palm Springs Police, Sol called police for help on September 10th. Police responded to the scene and initial reports indicated Sol had been stabbed and suffered serious injuries. Sol was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. However, TMZ reports that Sol died from her injuries a few days later.

According to TMZ, police have arrested Richard Joseph Gonzalez, 34, of Cathedral City, California, on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with Sol's stabbing and subsequent death.
Gonzalez called police the same day Sol called for help and showed up at the scene, claiming he'd been assaulted the night before. Police began investigating and determined that Gonzalez was a suspect in the stabbing, according to TMZ.
Police detained Gonzalez and booked him into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, near Palm Springs. He is currently being held without bail, and police are seeking to charge him with murder, according to TMZ.
Sol is best known for her performance in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, where she joined the cast for the show's second season.
He also appeared in numerous telenovelas early in his career, including “Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma,” “Sentientos Ahenos” and “La Jaura de Oro.”
