Whether it’s Apache, Bulldog, Eagle, Roughrider, Wildcat or Wildcat, the Arizona Public Schools Tax Credit can help support your school of choice.
Donations to select public schools can earn a $1 deduction against your Arizona tax liability. You can choose which extracurricular activities, clubs, dues (bands, plays, Skills USA, athletics, etc.) for which you want to donate, or let the school administrators decide.
You can also solicit donations from outside your community for local public schools. As long as your grandma and grandpa, or aunts and uncles, live in Arizona and file Arizona tax returns, you’re eligible for public school tax credits when you donate to your child’s school.
Couples applying jointly can contribute up to $400 and individual applicants can contribute up to $200. However, amounts up to the maximum amount are eligible for a $1 credit. Can I only donate $50? That’s fine; your school will be happy to help you with anything you can.
This donation keeps your tax dollars local. Your donation will work immediately in your community and support the eligible schools of your choice.
Donations made by April 18 are eligible for a tax credit per dollar against taxes payable on your 2022 Arizona income tax return. You can donate all year round. However, donations made after April 18 are eligible for a tax credit per dollar against taxes due in 2023.
