Yuma — National Cancer Survivor Day is Sunday, June 4th. On this day, people around the world unite to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness of the ongoing challenges they face because of their illness, and most importantly, save lives. celebrate the

To mark this, Relay for Life of Yuma will host a celebratory dinner for cancer survivors and caregivers. Please join us in celebrating with our community.

Ellie Evans, spokeswoman for Yuma County’s Relay for Life, said, “I want you to come and see for yourself that life after cancer can be beautiful, meaningful, and fun, despite its challenges.” You’ll find our community’s cancer survivor and caregiver dinner celebrations packed.” “With hope, friendship, triumph and compassion, we honor cancer survivors in our community. It draws attention to the ongoing challenges we face.”

Officials at Vent said they will be celebrating with a revival of the annual dinner celebrating cancer survivors and caregivers at the Pivot Point Conference Center. All cancer survivors are welcome to attend with one companion free of charge. Additional guests can purchase general admission tickets for him for $50. Attendance confirmation is required. Anyone who lives with a history of cancer from the moment of diagnosis until the rest of their life is a cancer survivor. In the US alone he has over 18 million cancer survivors.

By 2030, the number of cancer survivors in the United States is projected to rise to 22.2 million. As the number of survivors continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important to meet the unique needs of this population. In addition to facing serious illness, cancer survivors also have to contend with rising drug costs. Inadequate insurance coverage. Difficulty finding or maintaining a job. and ongoing physical, emotional, and financial conflicts that may continue after treatment ends. Given these challenges, our community must stand by these survivors on National Cancer Survivor Day and commit to easing the burden of cancer survival. The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life celebrates those affected by cancer, remembers the loved ones they’ve lost, and unites communities to take action to make life-saving change. Since 1985, Relay Her Four Her Life has raised her $6.8 billion to save lives from cancer.

The dollars raised each year by more than 250,000 relay participants nationwide are used to fund and conduct groundbreaking research, provide education and advocacy for the needs of cancer patients and their families, and essential services across the country. help support the American Cancer Society’s mission in countless ways, including by providing their cancer journey.
