The massive, ongoing fire that occurred after the crash has made investigations more difficult and it is difficult to identify the victims.
The Yavapai County Medical Examiner’s Office carefully examines the bodies to determine whether they can identify who they are.
“We understand the urgency and emotional sacrifice that this uncertainty brings to our families and the public,” the official said. “Our teams continue to work closely together to bring clarity to this heartbreaking situation, so we ask for kindness to patience and understanding.”
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
