Republican Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee on Tuesday introduced articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris for high crimes and misconduct.
Ogles told the Daily Caller that he believes Harris “willfully violated the public trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president” and that “immediate action must be taken.”
“Kamala Harris has repeatedly refused to swear an oath to the United States Constitution and must be impeached. Her astonishing incompetence as head of border control has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape and murder to flood America's streets,” Ogles told The Daily Caller after introducing the story.
On June 27, Trump and Biden held their first debate in Atlanta, after which Biden's performance sparked a flood of calls for him to resign. Biden subsequently withdrew from the race, but within days, leading Democrats, including Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, had come together to support Harris.

Since becoming a candidate, Harris has broken records, raising more than $100 million.
It's unclear how much support Ogles' article of impeachment will receive from House Republicans.
Ogles will face Nashville City Council Member Courtney Johnston in a primary election on August 1, according to the Associated Press.
