It’s been 200 days since President Trump resumed his role in the White House, and the developments we’ve seen, well, they’re quite significant. The media, of course, is trying hard to frame his administration in a negative light, but many Americans feel they are finally seeing results that align with the promises made.
Recently, I got the chance to meet with folks in Enterprise and Geneva at local city hall events. The consensus? South Alabama is calling for strong, America-first leadership, as represented by President Trump.
Let’s take a moment to review some of the promises he’s fulfilled.
First up, there’s the big beautiful invoice, which stands as a hallmark of Trump’s achievements and is already making a difference in people’s lives. There are no new taxes creeping in, no taxes on overtime, and no taxes on Social Security. The tax cuts from 2017 are not just lingering; they’re still very much in effect. This is how a businessman leads a country—with a clear goal for American families to thrive.
Our southern borders? They’re safer again. Just look at 4,399 apprehensions reported last month, the lowest in modern history. In a positive turn, over 13,000 missing immigrant children were located after the previous administration struggled with that. Trump’s decisive leadership is making a real impact.
Then there’s the initiative to open up 13 million acres in Alaska for energy exploration, a move to dismantle the radical aspects of Biden’s “Green New Deal.” This big beautiful bill has allowed us to revoke significant financial support that was previously directed toward special interest groups and radical environmentalists.
Furthermore, President Trump has implemented actions to protect children by stopping chemical and surgical procedures for minors. Several major hospitals have ceased what they termed “gender affirmation care” for children, which is, I think, a necessary step.
Trump’s also been busy cutting regulations, at a remarkable ratio of 10 to 1, addressing issues in education, enjoying record market growth, and ensuring that men stay out of women’s sports. The victories keep coming.
Pledging to unveil deep-seated national issues, he’s collaborated with National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard to declassify information about President Obama’s weaponization of intelligence, pushing forth a Russian hoax narrative. He seems committed to bringing to light the truths that a lot of people are eager to know. I’m looking forward to working alongside him and the Jordanian president on the House Judiciary Committee as we pursue this mission.
In these first 200 days, President Trump is moving at an extraordinary pace to revive our country. He’s keeping promises and delivering on commitments.
