Rep. Massie Urges Ghislaine Maxwell to Testify ‘If She Has Helpful Information’

Rep. Massey Advocates for Maxwell Testimony in Epstein Investigation

During a recent NBC News appearance, Republican Rep. Thomas Massey from Kentucky expressed that Ghislaine Maxwell should provide testimony regarding her potentially valuable information for an ongoing investigation related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Marx, disclosed that she had responded to nearly 100 inquiries about individuals allegedly linked to Epstein during two days of questioning. While on “Meet the Press” with Democratic Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard from California, Massey underscored the significance of Maxwell’s testimony.

“The decision rests with the president,” he stated. “But I think she should testify if she possesses information that could aid the investigation. Let’s get to the bottom of it. Whatever it takes to ensure her testimony, I mentioned when asked if I supported a potential pardon or commutation for Maxwell.”

Maxwell recently had a meeting with Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche to discuss her involvement with Epstein and provide insights into her role within a human trafficking network. Blanche confirmed via an X post that he returned for a second day of questioning with Maxwell.

In 2022, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found guilty of recruiting and grooming a young woman for sexual exploitation. Epstein, who passed away in custody in 2019, was reported to have committed suicide.

The Justice Department under the Trump administration concluded that Epstein did not maintain a “client list” and consistently asserted that his death was a suicide, as detailed in a memo released in July. President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondy received backlash over their handling of documents related to Epstein. Trump responded to critics through a social media post on July 16, defending Bondi and her work.

“We are trying to accomplish more in six months than previous administrations have done in a century,” Trump remarked. “Let Pam Bondi continue her outstanding work!”
