For Bud Light, things have only gotten ridiculously worse.
When it comes to the most popular beers sold in bars and restaurants, Bud Light, which used to be the top-ranked beer, now sits in fourth place. Newsweek The information came from Union, a company that develops software that records orders.
Bud Light, owned by Anheuser-Busch, was previously the number one beer sold at Union’s 1,100 “big venues.” However, from April to June of Q2 2023, Miller Light, Michelob Ultra and Coors Light each outperformed Bud Light.
Union data revealed in the latest OnPrem Insights report also shows that while Bud Light sales were hit hardest in South Carolina, North Carolina and Texas, Anheuser-Busch beer was hit the least in California (not surprisingly).

God… how bad could things get for Bud Light?
Fun fact: I just went into the store with my wife and as soon as we walked in we noticed they had a brand new stock of Bud Light. You can see it was still in a box or something next to the other new beers that came in. So I’m thinking… Oh, did they really sell those Bud Lights long ago (the cooler was full last time I shopped)?
When I went to check on the cooler box, no, the Bud Light I had before was not sold. Everything was still there, still packed. And for those who say “could have replenished”, I’m literally petty and only recently had my wife take a picture of Bud Light in the cooler the last time I went to the store. We compared the photo to what was in the cooler… no kidding, exactly the same. (Related: Bud Light continues to embarrass himself on social media after Dylan Mulvaney’s accident)
It was the most hilarious affair yet and a pure sign of the end of Bud Light.
Good hassle.
