A judge has ordered former NFL superstar Antonio Brown to repay $1 million in jewelry debt after he failed to respond to a lawsuit regarding the incident.
Shuki International, a prominent jeweler to the stars, sued Brown in April 2023, alleging that the former NFL star borrowed numerous expensive jewelry items in 2022 and failed to return them or pay them. It was reported. TMZ. Shuki, who shines on Floyd Mayweather and other high-profile stars, claims he gifted Brown with diamond fingers worth $500,000 each.
According to the newspaper, Shuki claimed Brown was in possession of a rose gold black diamond version finger piece, a ring and a white gold chain. He said the items were loaned to a former professional athlete for short-term purposes, according to TMZ.
Mr. Shuki reportedly tried to make him pay for the borrowed items and offered Mr. Brown the option of simply returning the items if he did not wish to purchase them. TMZ reported that Brown did not respond and ultimately decided to take the matter to court.
The lawsuit against Brown was filed in 2023, but despite repeated efforts to get a response from Brown, he refused to acknowledge the situation in any way, the newspaper reported. . The judge reportedly issued a default judgment in Shuki's favor, noting that the judgment was based on Brown's refusal to fight the matter.
