REPORT: Disney Abruptly Pauses Production of ‘Tangled’ In The Wake Of Epic ‘Snow White’ Fail

Disney reportedly hit the pause button in the live-action version of the 2010 animated hit “Tangled.”

The film is based on the fairy tale of “Rapunzel” and was actively under development when placed on ice. According to Variety. Michael Gracey, director of “The Greatest Showman,” is set to direct the film, and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, writer of “Thor: Love and Thunder,” joined in to write the screenplay. The film is currently on hold for indefinitely, the outlet reported.

The “tangled” future lies in balance, and it remains unclear whether Disney will bring back the film at some point in the future, or whether this sudden retention is the end of production.

According to Variety, when it was released between 2010 and 2011, the original version of the film was produced worldwide, which was produced around $600 million worldwide. The film was nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Song and was well received by Rotten Tomatoes.

Disney didn’t show why they urged them to stop with this particular title, but they’re now rolling up the $69 million form produced by “Snow White” in the face of the film

The entertainment giant appears to be moving forward with “Lilo and Stitch,” which is scheduled to be released on May 23rd, and “Moana,” which is scheduled to open in theaters on July 10th.

“Snow White” was a hit before the film was released. Many called the casting of Latina actress Rachel Zegler “Snow White.” Many expressed their dissatisfaction with the awakened storyline, and Disney refused to hire actors with dwarfs when casting dwarves. It is ultimately expressed in the use of CGI. Zegler faced backlash due to pro-Palestinian activities on social media, and fellow Gal Gadot expressed support for Israel. The controversial film blocked the media from its red carpet premiere before finally facing box-office.
