REPORT: Hero Officer Busts Up Perp After He Punched Female Colleague In Face

According to a video posted to Twitter, a New York Police Department officer punched a female officer, allegedly a repeat offender, in the face, causing her to bleed, before continuing to punch her.

The gunman, Ernst Delmas, 41, allegedly punched a female officer in the face as she tried to break up an argument between him and another person in the Bronx on Thursday, according to the New York Post. Reported.

The video shows the officer struggling to get up and having to be helped up by pedestrians as blood streamed from his face.

Her partner quickly swung into action, pouncing on the attacker and punching him multiple times in the face and body.

The officers' onslaught forced the attacker to the ground, at one point removing his pants and underwear to expose his buttocks. Officers eventually handcuffed Delmas and took him into custody. He now faces charges of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental government, police told The Post.

While on probation, Delmas assaulted a 57-year-old woman in New York City in 2022, according to the New York Post, the paper also reported. (Related article: Someone keeps punching young women in the face in New York, and the city's Democratic Party leadership is doing nothing about it.)

According to the media report, Delmas has a criminal history with multiple arrests for assault and theft.

Police Benevolent Association president Patrick Hendry condemned the assault as the result of poor criminal policy, according to the Post.

“This is exactly what happens when our justice system is more focused on coddling criminals than supporting officers on the street,” Hendry said.
