The Los Angeles Lakers agreed to re-sign superstar LeBron James to a two-year, $105 million contract extension on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wojnarowski reported the contract includes a player option and a no-trade clause.

After James waived his $51.4 million player option for the 2024-2025 season, experts Guessed James will again be able to take his talents elsewhere.

First, they hired JJ Redick, who is LeBron's podcast co-host and close friend, as their head coach, then they selected LeBron's son, Bronny James Jr., with the 55th overall pick in the draft.
LeBron previously suggested he would be willing to take a pay cut if the Lakers could acquire top free agent Wojnarowski. reportBut with Klay Thompson signing with the Dallas Mavericks, Jonas Valanciunas signing with the Washington Wizards and James Harden re-signing with the Los Angeles Clippers, three of the stars on James' wish list are now out of contract.
As a result, the Lakers didn't sign any major free agents and James returned with a max contract.
