Democrats are reportedly sending talking points to lawmakers and possibly others about Vice President Kamala Harris serving as border chief during the ongoing migrant crisis.

Democrats said they and some of their colleagues received a document with guidelines for how they would discuss Harris' role in addressing the southern border. Out kickA photo of the document has been circulating on social media.

The memo includes a number of points, including that “there has never been a position like” Border Patrol Officer. It also states that the Vice President “has not been asked to lead the Administration's immigration or border security policy” and that the Vice President's role is “to focus on evolving conditions in other countries, not on the U.S. border.”

Democrats and reporters already appear to be capitalizing on some of the talking points. NBC News The paper ran an article suggesting that the term “border czar” was coined by Harris' critics. (RELATED: “Border Secretary” Kamala Harris previously blamed the migration surge on “lack of climate adaptation.”)

Forbes It ran a story with the headline, “No, Kamala Harris is not a 'border czar': What you need to know about her immigration record.”

That statement was echoed by Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, who said, “She has never held the position of border commissioner. They are making that up because the radical MAGA Republicans are totally broken.” Said Reporters at a press conference.

The House of Representatives passed a resolution on Thursday condemning Harris and the Biden administration for “failing to secure the United States' border.”
