Police have charged the man behind the 2015 viral “dress” meme with trying to murder his wife, The New York Post reports.

Keir Johnston was summoned to Glasgow High Court on Monday on charges of attempted murder, according to the New York Post. In court, he reportedly denied allegations of physical assault and attempted murder of his wife.

The New York Post reported that Johnston allegedly pushed his wife against a wall and yelled at him. He also allegedly assaulted her wife through the open window of the car she was in.
The newspaper reported that Johnston had blocked his wife from contacting friends and family and closely scrutinized his personal finances.
