The North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) has removed 747,000 names from voter rolls in swing states in the past 20 months, officials announced Thursday.
Most of the people removed from North Carolina's voter rolls were deemed ineligible to vote because they moved from one county in the state to another without registering a new address. According to To The Hill. Those removed from the voter rolls did not participate in the 2016 and 2020 federal elections.
According to the newspaper, the NCSBE identified other reasons voters were removed, including death, felony conviction, moving out of state, and personal requests.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) lawsuit In August, it claimed the state failed to meet its obligations and remove ineligible names from voter rolls.
“Confidence in the integrity of our electoral process is essential for our participatory democracy to function.
