On Saturday, multiple media outlets reported that two coaches from opposing youth football teams were shot and killed in a post-game incident.
The victims were reportedly opposing coaches Travon Smith of the Indy Firehawks and James Johnson-Beverly of Next Elite.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officials told reporters that one of the victims was in critical condition. The incident occurred after the game when an “argument broke out” between a parent and coach, officials said. It appears that someone shot and killed the two men. The suspect was not taken into custody.
