REPORT: Police Allege Two Men Planned ‘Sniper-Style Attack’

St. Louis prosecutors have reportedly charged Clarence Holmes with killing Anthony Jefferson, 32, in a “sniper-style attack” in the Kingsway East neighborhood shortly after midnight on February 2. According to an SLMPD media statement to the Daily Caller, officers arrived at the scene after hearing multiple gunshots and found Jefferson “lying on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds.” Jefferson was “pronounced dead at the scene” by paramedics, the statement said.

The Circuit Attorney's Office charged both Holmes and Young with “first-degree murder” and “armed criminal action,” according to a police statement shared with the caller. Holmes was also charged with “unlawful possession of a firearm,” the statement said. Both Holmes and Young remain in custody and have been denied bail, the statement added.
