The former co-owner and director of a children’s athletic sports complex in New Jersey has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy and sending nude photos online, according to reports.
Authorities arrested Tara Rastelli Carr, 46, in Salem County on Thursday for an alleged sexual relationship over several months with a boy between the ages of 13 and 16, NBC 10 Philadelphia reported.
New Jersey State Police troopers received a report of the allegations on May 1, 2024, and an investigation began. During questioning, the boy and his parents told police that Carr sexually assaulted them multiple times between March 2024 and May 2024 at two locations, including a park in New Jersey. Carr allegedly took the boy from school and sexually assaulted him in his car. According to investigators. The boy claims she sent him sexually explicit messages and photos via Snapchat and had sex with him, the probable cause affidavit read.
When questioned by investigators, Carr admitted to sending the boy sexually explicit photos, according to the criminal complaint. Investigators also said they corroborated the charges by searching her car, securing her cellphone and examining her Snapchat account.
