REPORT: Suspect In Different Disguises Repeatedly Fails To Rob Los Angeles Store, Only Manages To Break Door

Suspects in various disguises have repeatedly failed robberies at a store in Los Angeles, a store owner said.

The owner of a popular tennis shop is nervous after multiple trespassing attempts over the summer. according to Local outlet KLTA. The latest incident occurred at 4 p.m. Sunday, the media reported, citing information from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

“Someone has probably been trying to break into my store for the last two months,” Richard Hartman, owner of Westwood Sports Goods, told KTLA. “I can’t enter the store because they stuck a screw in my door and broke it.”

The suspect reportedly breached the store’s security system in one of his attempts and was forced to flee. KTLA said Hartmann quickly chased him down an alleyway, where he jumped into a silver 2023 Lexus convertible and fled. “I drove down the alley in a van, jumped out of the car and said ‘Hey!’ He saw me and started running and I started chasing him,” Hartmann told local media.

police Hartman warned of the potential danger if the suspect had a gun and advised against pursuing him. Police have reportedly stepped up patrols in the area, but have yet to apprehend the suspected trespasser.

“If he has a problem, come and tell me what’s wrong. He wants a racket, let me know,” Hartman continued.
