According to the Daily Mail, Taylor Swift allegedly turned down an invitation to Meghan Markle’s podcast, which fell through due to the former royal family’s recent setbacks.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly sent Taylor Swift a personal letter, apparently begging her to appear on Taylor Swift’s Archetypes podcast, but was turned down by her agent. according to to the daily mail.

The rejection came after Spotify announced the end of its partnership with Archwell Audio on June 16, a year after “Archtypes” debuted on the platform. The two released a joint statement about their mutual agreement, claiming they were “proud of the series” despite the cancellation. according to to the New York Times.

It’s unclear if the podcast will continue on other platforms.

Since the show’s cancellation, Markle has been accused of falsifying an interview featured on the podcast “Archetype.” The former royal is said to have staff members conduct interviews just to compile clips of Markle’s voice asking questions. according to to the New York Post.

The suspicion arose when podcast guest author Alison Yarrow promoted her appearance on social media. She posted a photo of herself standing in front of audio production company Gimlet Media, which is not where Markle’s podcast is being produced.
