A transgender activist blogger has reportedly been charged with leaving his autistic son in a house full of poop buckets.
Robert Eugene Plummer, a woman named Kirsten Piper, was arrested with his wife in Ocean County on Dec. 12 on suspicion of leaving a 10-year-old child in “degrading” conditions. according to to Reduxx.

The New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) first received a call on Dec. 8 from a nurse at the elementary school about “ongoing concerns” about the child's hygiene and appearance, the report said. During the welfare visit, DCPP officers found the bathroom “covered in feces” and multiple Home Depot buckets filled with human waste occupying the home, the paper said. reported.
The child, who was diagnosed with autism in 2016, was removed from the home after DCPP alerted police to the “disastrous situation,” Reduxx reported. According to the report, the child told police that he had been unable to use the toilet and bathtub for a year because they were clogged with feces. He also claimed to officers that he was bullied at school due to poor hygiene, the newspaper said.
Plummer and his wife, Amy, were charged in New Jersey with endangering the welfare of their son, the newspaper reported. Amy reportedly deferred to her transgender spouse regarding the condition of the home, stating that she has a disability that makes it difficult for her to walk. She also said her family could not afford to hire a plumber, according to the report.
Reduxx noted that both the transgender activist and his wife have been vocal supporters of LGBT issues on social media. Plummer reportedly wrote an entry on the couple's blog in February 2023, declaring that she has a “responsibility” for exposing her children to “LGBTQ+ issues and transgender rights” from an early age. According to the report, photos posted to the couple's accounts appear to show their son participating in several LGBT-themed events.
