A real estate agent was confirmed dead shortly after an oak tree fell while walking his dog during a storm in Atlanta, Georgia, according to WSB Television.
George Healy Jr. was walking his dogs down Delmont Drive in Garden Hills when an old oak tree fell on him. according to to WSB TV. Healy’s neighbor, Randy Merrill, said everyone in the area, including doctors, rushed to save Healy’s life. (Related: Tree falls over 7-year-old girl while camping with family at national park)
“They were here pumping him for 20 to 30 minutes until an ambulance came,” Merrill said. “It was terrifying, it was terrifying. His brother and his wife were here.”
Healy died at Grady Memorial Hospital.

“I live two doors down,” Merrill said. “He was a friend and agent for us. He was Mr. Garden Hills. He was just sweet and sweet.”
He was a real estate agent and worked for Sotheby’s International Realty with his brother and business partner Neil. The two were also the founders of Healy Brothers, an agency that specializes in luxury properties, according to the paper.
The Atlanta City Council said, “We are deeply saddened to hear of the untimely and tragic passing of George Healy Jr. He made significant contributions to our community and will continue to invest in real estate through his unwavering dedication to his clients. He left an indelible mark on the industry.” Said in a statement on Monday. “Our thoughts are with his family as they navigate this devastating loss. We hope they find strength and comfort in their precious memories of George. My heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, Constance, sons and his brother and business partner Neil.”
