REPORT: Woman Accuses Conor McGregor Of Sexual Assault, Files Lawsuit Against Fighter And NBA Team

A woman has reportedly sued Conor McGregor and the Miami Heat for sexual assault dating back to 2023.

The woman, known only as “Jane Doe,” filed legal documents Tuesday in federal court in Florida. According to TMZ. Doe accused the UFC star of sexually assaulting him in a men’s bathroom stall at Miami’s Quesaya Center. The incident allegedly occurred on June 9, 2023, during a playoff game between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets near the arena’s nightclub.

She named NBA teams as part of her lawsuit, claiming they knew McGregor was a danger to those attending the games. Team officials allowed him to continue drinking but failed to protect her from him, according to the complaint.

Doe’s legal complaint cited another incident involving McGregor during the fight. A UFC fighter hurt an actor wearing a mascot costume during an on-court skit in the third quarter.

Authorities had previously investigated the woman’s alleged sexual assault, but prosecutors declined to charge McGregor in October 2023.

Doe is suing for unspecified damages. No further information was provided about the circumstances leading up to the alleged sexual assault. Details about whether the alleged victim was known to McGregor have not been released at this time.

Mr. McGregor is represented by Barbara Lanes of Gelber, Schachter & Greenberg. She issued a statement saying she does not anticipate charges being brought against her client as a result of these allegations.

“After a thorough investigation at the time, the state attorney concluded there was no case to pursue,” Llanes told TMZ.

“After nearly two years and at least three attorneys, the plaintiffs have come forward with a new false story. We are confident that this case will also be dismissed,” she said. (Related: Liberal writer Neil Gaiman says he believes survivors will be accused of sexual assault)

This is the second legal issue McGregor has faced in recent months. The UFC fighter was found guilty of assault in Ireland in November.
