Repurposed paddle wheel boat, Bullhead Belle, opening on Friday

Bullhead City (KTNV) — A beautiful boat leaves the sea to find new purpose on land.

Formerly known as the Celebration, the 65-foot paddlewheel boat has been renamed the Bullhead Bell and serves as a concession stand overlooking the Colorado River within Bullhead City’s community park.

City officials said the 4,100-square-foot lower patio, 4,000-square-foot upper patio, and 900-square-foot upper deck have space for more than 200 people.

“The convenience and comfort of the Bell will allow patrons to experience delicious, high-quality dining anytime within the park without the hassle of towing barbecue equipment or preparing their own,” said Bullhead City Market. Places Manager Kanden Stanley said. “We offer a new luxury experience that you can’t enjoy anywhere else along the river.”

According to the city, The Celebration went into service in 1997 and ferried nearly one million passengers up and down the Colorado River as an itinerant restaurant and special event venue until it was decommissioned in December 2022. It was then donated to the city by Laughlin River Tours.

“Community Park includes the Colorado River Historical Society Museum, the Little Red School House, and the Moss Mine Headframe, making it a perfect addition to the park with historical significance like Bell,” said Bullhead. City Mayor Steve Dee said. Amiko.

Bullhead Bell’s official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m., and the public will be able to sample a menu that includes salads, wraps, pizza and desserts.City officials say the Bullhead Bell will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
