PHOENIX — Some residents of Sedona have been told to evacuate due to severe flooding in the area, officials said.
of city of sedona A dozen regions have announced that they are in ‘GO’ status. This indicates that the danger in the area is imminent and life threatening.
Areas with “GO” status are:
- trails end road
- trails end lane
- blackhawk lane
- newcastle lane
- Oak Creek Mobilodge
- Copper Cliff Drive
- Copper Cliffs Lane
- Sycamore Road
- The Villas at Poco Diablo Resort
- New Age Center
- Rancho Sedona RV Park
- Houses north of Rancho Sedona RV Park on Bear Wallow Lane
The official evacuation site for the area is Camp Verde High School on the Apache Trail and Montezuma Castle Highway.
The flooding that affected the area was caused by snowmelt and rain.

Travelers were told not to cross the area if water was present.
