‘Revenge Of The Nerds’: Mike Huckabee Says Elon Uncovering Taxpayer Waste ‘Greatest’ Thing ‘In My Lifetime’

Former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee praised Elon Musk’s efforts on Fox Business on Friday for exposing government waste as “the biggest thing in my life.”

Between exterior In “Evening Edit,” Huckabee said he supported Musk and his efforts when leading the Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“Donald Trump keeps his promise. He said he was going to do it, and he did it, and he’s doing it, and I’m wondering what’s going on. I love it. The group of young guys that Elon Musk and I call “geek revenge” is probably the biggest thing that has happened in my lifetime in connection with the federal government,” Huckabee said.

Huckabee also said the excitement is not only limited to Washington insiders, but it goes far beyond Washington, D.C.

“I think when we get around 30 miles from the Beltway, people are dancing and celebrating on the streets. Finally, the government is looking at how taxpayer money is being spent. It’s a moment when people are here,” Huckabee added. “I think people are ecking about it.”

Huckabee said Musk and his team’s actions are nothing but the president’s honor.

“I think all these people should win a presidential medal to find this ridiculous amount of spending. Well, certainly there are some good things the government does, and I’ll make it minimal. I don’t want to hold it down,” Huckabee said. “I appreciate that our government is doing what we want to do to them. Doge has demolished the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and is currently aiming to cut funding for both the Department of Education and the Department of Defense. Doge is currently facing several legitimate fights launched by the Civil Service Union against acquisition programs and general efforts to cut the workforce. A federal judge recently postponed a deadline for employees to agree to Trump’s proposal until next Monday.

Resistance against Musk’s role in the Trump administration has said that following Musk’s announcement on February 3, he and Trump have decided to restructure USAID under the direction of Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Despite the government’s revelation of inefficiency, Democrats protested in Washington, D.C., while those calling for the president and others to “close” the Senate.

But despite democratic objections, a CBS News poll released on Sunday found that 53% of Americans have supported the Trump administration to date, with 70% saying Trump had made the promise of his campaign. They say it’s fulfilling.
