Rice Lake lost to Barron in September and unfortunately had the same result Saturday. The Rice Lake Warriors fell just short of the Barron Golden Bears by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting game in which neither team could achieve back-to-back wins, Rice Lake sadly ended up on the wrong side. In the end, the final score was 25-14, 22-25, 15-12.

Madilyn Delyer and Sedona Gay certainly did their best to avoid losing on Saturday. DeRoyer had seven digs and 11 assists, while Gay had five digs.

Rice Lake’s loss drops its record to 15-8. It was Baron’s 18th consecutive win, bringing his record this year to 25 wins and 2 losses.

Rice Lake quickly returned to the court and has already played in its next game, a 2-0 win against Cadott on the 5th. The Barons already have their next matchup scheduled, with a 2-1 win against Eau Claire North on the 5th.
