Riley Gaines: ‘I support Jared Hudson’ for U.S. Senate

Riley Gaines, a conservative activist, has expressed her support for Jared Hudson as Alabama’s potential next US Senator.

The former University of Kentucky swimmer has transitioned into activism, recently announcing her backing for Hudson. “Hi, this is Riley Gaines. You might know me from my efforts to defend women’s sports. Standing up for this cause wasn’t a difficult decision for me,” she stated. “I urge you to raise your voice today for those who choose what is right, even when that choice comes with risks.”

Hudson officially kicked off his Senate campaign in May. This veteran, living in Birmingham with his family, leads the Covenant Rescue Group, an organization dedicated to combating human trafficking.

“Jared Hudson is not just a former Navy Seal and law enforcement officer—he’s also a husband, father, and a man of strong faith. He’s devoted his life to safeguarding American families, upholding our values, and sharing the truth candidly,” Gaines added. “Now he’s seeking our support for his Senate run.”

“We need courageous conservatives in the Senate who will stand up for the truth, advocate for women and girls, and defend our cherished nation.”

This isn’t Gaines’s first venture into Alabama’s political sphere. Back in March, she voiced her opposition to proposed reform measures regarding prescription taxes that she claimed would burden consumers.

Now, she aims to assist Hudson in reshaping Washington, D.C. “The extreme left is trying to silence voices like mine and Jared’s. This goes beyond Alabama—Jared’s success would communicate a message nationwide that Americans should not remain passive in the face of falsehoods.”

The primary election for the open US Senate seat is slated for May 19, 2026, with Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall also announcing his candidacy.
