Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band Cancels Philadelphia And New York City Concerts Mid-Tour

Legendary rock singer Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band were forced to cancel several shows on tour on medical advice.

The band announced the cancellation on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Today, Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band announced that due to illness they have unfortunately had to cancel their final two upcoming shows, including tonight's show at The Man's TD Pavilion in Philadelphia and tomorrow's show at New York's Radio City Music Hall,” the message read.

The band provided some more details about what was going on behind the scenes.

“Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting his doctor has advised him to cancel the remaining two shows and take some time to rest,” the band wrote on social media.

“As of today, the following shows have been canceled: Tuesday, September 24th, TD Pavilion at the Man – Philadelphia, PA; Wednesday, September 25th, Radio City Music Hall – New York City, NY,” the message read.

Fans who purchased tickets were assured that measures were being taken to protect their investment.

“Ticket holders will be notified via email and will automatically be refunded, or can contact their point of purchase for refund information,” the message read.

The All-Starr band concluded by writing, “As always, Ringo and the All-Stars send peace and love to their fans and hope to see you soon.”

The former Beatle and his bandmates kicked off their fall tour in San Diego on Sept. 7 and performed 10 shows before Starr fell ill.
