The Havasu Balloon Festival & Fair, presented by Anderson Toyota, opened Thursday morning in Lake Havasu City.

Balloon pilots visited elementary schools, Lake Havasu High School, Thunderbolt Middle School, Mojave Community College, Calvary Academy, Our Lady of the Lake, Telesis Preparatory Academy and Havasu Preparatory Academy. A demonstration was also held for children who were learning at home.

Local children were able to get up close to the balloon, meet the pilot, and ask questions.

Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair gates open at noon Thursday at Lake Havasu State Park Windsor 4. Weekend tickets are $20 for ages 10 and older. Children under 10 years old are admitted free.

Here are some photos from the school.
