Tucson, Arizona – The Arizona Coyotes’ AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, today announced its regular season schedule for the 2023-2024 season, which begins Friday, October 13 in Texas.
The Roadrunners’ home opener will be Saturday, October 21, at 7 p.m. at Tucson Arena at Coachella Valley.

Fans can secure seats for the season opener and 35 remaining regular season home games simply by joining the Roadrunners Flex Club. Twenty-eight of the team’s 36 games will be played on Friday or Saturday nights. That includes 15 Saturday night games scheduled at Tucson Arena, the most in a single season. The Roadrunners will also host one Sunday game against Texas starting at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 17.

The Roadrunners’ 15 Saturday games are the most in team history, and the previous record was 13 in the 2017-2018 season. Friday’s 13 home games tied for the most in team history, and Tucson played a similar number during the 2018-2019 season.
The school day game is back
The Roadrunners have partnered with Stantech and the Pima County Superintendent to bring local students from States K through 8 to a free “Field Trip” game at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. welcome San Diego home. To make the game a free event for students, the Roadrunners are off with great prizes including 2023-24 Roadrunners season tickets, autographed game-worn jerseys from the American Hockey League and Arizona’s leading players. All Roadrunners home games on Friday and Saturday start at 7:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday night home games start at 6:30 pm Team matinee on Sunday, March 17 starts at 4:00 pm The Roadrunners will also drop the puck at 6 p.m. at Martin’s Iowa game on Luther King Day on January 15th.
Home weekend kicks off the season
The Roadrunners will host three consecutive weekends and six games at Tucson Arena from Saturday, October 21 through November 4, with six of the first eight games in the season opener being played on home ice, with opponents Coachella Valley, San Diego, Bakersfield, Chicago.

Tucson will then finish the season with four of its final five games at home and back-to-back weekends at Tucson Arena from April 12-20.
Precious mid-season schedule
Tucson will play 10 of its 15 games at home from January 15 to February 24, typically during the season including the Gem Show Road Trip. This year’s trip will be between a trip to California from January 31 to February 3 to play Bakersfield, San Diego and the Coachella Valley, and a trip to Iowa on February 9 and 10. With the All-Star break in between, there will be only five games in 11 days.
Longest Homestand VS Longest Road Trip
Tucson will be at home in two of their six straight games, but will not be away from home for more than five games this season. In addition to a shortened and sandwiched Gem Show Trip, the Roadrunners will be out of Tucson from November 21-28, heading to Calgary (2 games), Henderson (2 games), and Ontario just after the Thanksgiving holidays and New Years. (1 match) will be played in 5 consecutive matches. This year, Tucson will visit San Jose (once), Chicago (twice) and Abbotsford (twice) from January 3-13.
