Two of Alabama's incumbent House members defeated their challengers in their respective primaries on Tuesday and will represent the Republican Party in the upcoming general election.
Congressman Robert Aderholt and Congressman Gary Palmer both won convincingly, with Aderholt receiving 79% of the vote in the 4th District and Palmer receiving 83% of voters in the 6th District.
Both men expressed gratitude for the strong support from Republican voters.
On Tuesday night, Aderholt (R-Haleyville) released a message of gratitude on social media shortly after the race was decided in his favor.
Thank you for your overwhelming support to serve two more years in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is the honor of my life to have your support and work for you.

“These results demonstrate that voters in our district believe that proven conservative leadership is what Alabama needs,” Palmer said. “Now that the primaries and Super Tuesday are over, I will focus on helping other Republicans campaign to help President Trump win the Republican majority when he returns to the White House. Thank you to the voters who believed in our vision and to those who supported our campaign.”
