Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. raised nearly $6.4 million for his presidential campaign last quarter, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.
Kennedy’s campaign raised $6.37 million in its first fundraising period from February 1 through June 30, 2023. Disclosure submitted Friday program. The Kennedy campaign has spent $1.8 million over this period and has over $4.5 million in cash on hand.Kennedy reported personal income A financial disclosure raised $7.8 million, with his camp Super PAC saying it had raised more than $10 million in the quarter. Kennedy is challenging incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden for the party nomination. A CNN poll in May showed Kennedy’s approval rating ahead of Biden’s 60% by 20% and the author Marianne Williamson’s 8%. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) opposes Kennedy and Williamson debating Biden as part of the Democratic primary.
During the campaign, Kennedy has spoken out against vaccines, US support for the Ukraine war, and opposition to censorship by social media platforms. Podcaster Joe Rogan asks prominent vaccine scientist Peter Hotez to debate vaccine safety with Kennedy on a podcast after allowing Logan to interview Kennedy and explain why Kennedy opposes vaccines challenged to do so.
A Kennedy scion, he is in the spotlight for his belief that the CIA murdered his father, Robert F. Kennedy, and his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy.
He also made headlines for lifting weights and doing shirtless pushups in the campaign video.
Silicon Valley executives David Sachs, Nick Tomaino, and David Marcus reportedly donated to the Kennedy campaign. He was also endorsed by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.
