Robert Saleh was escorted out of the team facility by security after being fired as head coach of the New York Jets on Tuesday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports.

Jets owner Woody Johnson statement Not long after Saleh’s dismissal was announced. He also announced that defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will take over head coaching duties on an interim basis for the remainder of the 2024 season.
“This morning, I informed Robert Saleh that I will no longer be the head coach of the Jets. I thank him for his hard work over the past three and a half years and wish him and his family the best moving forward. ” Johnson said.
My understanding is that Robert Saleh was fired this morning and then escorted out of the building by team security. There was no meeting to inform the players.
