RONNA MCDANIEL: One-Year Anniversary Of The Dobbs Decision. Does The RNC Have A Pro-Life Plan For 2024?

This weekend marks one year since the Supreme Court ruling. Dobbs The ruling duly overturned a flawed precedent and returned the abortion issue to the states. Since then, the pro-life vs. pro-choice debate has been at the center of our political landscape, perhaps more than ever. As the Republican Party chairman and mother of her two children, I want to make three things very clear to her.

First, thanks to the tireless advocacy of the faith community, Dobbs This decision saved countless lives and set America in a positive direction. We are moving in the right direction after decades of shameful on-demand abortion practices that put us in a global category alongside countries like China and North Korea. Part 2: Republican voters and politicians Dobbs We will take decisions in clear and strong language and hold the Democrats accountable for being so far outside the mainstream on this important issue. Third, Republicans must have this conversation with empathy, sensitivity and understanding. I know firsthand how serious it is to bring a child into this world. This is not a simple policy debate, it is a matter of life and death. (Related: EV OSMENT: Dear Dobbs Rieker — Congrats! It was a miserable failure)

Law vs Wade – Even Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg thought so bad law – Puts America in its own unenviable category. on the other hand, Majority of European countries restricting elective abortion after 15 weeks, egg There was no such backstop. Law’s Undoing has already saved lives and will continue to do so for decades to come. By allowing each state to determine the abortion policy that best suits its citizens, Dobbs This decision excluded the federal government from this intimate decision and in doing so saved lives across America. The court’s decision was the result of decades of hard work, consistent prayer, and unwavering faith by Christian leaders. The Christian voters who registered and educated the congregation to vote for pro-life candidates and a party platform that reflected biblical values provided a lifelong boost to this victory.

When Americans understand the scope of the pro-life controversy, they overwhelmingly side with the Republican Party. Opinion polls show Republicans win by 22 percentage points when choosing between Democrats who want zero abortion laws and Republicans who support saving lives at 15 weeks. 72% of voters (including 60% of Democrats) support protecting fetuses after 15 weeks, when babies start to feel pain. 47 of her 50 European countries have restricted access to abortion since the same censorship. The American public understands the absolute importance of setting common-sense limits on abortion. Unfortunately, Democrats don’t think so. Most Democrats, including Joe Biden, refuse to say whether they support it. Any Restrictions on Abortion. The idea that a prominent Democrat would not condemn late-term abortion, in which the baby feels pain and can survive outside the womb, is pure dystopia. That’s why Republicans need to proudly advertise their position.

We are a pro-women, pro-family party. We can win when it comes to abortion, but that means defending the Democrats and forcing them to take extreme positions. Candidates who refuse to do so are subject to a hurricane of misinformation and malicious attacks.During the mid-cycle, Democrats nearly $360 million in abortion-related ads. If we abandon this argument, the vacuum will be filled with those lies. As chairman of the RNC, I have repeatedly advised party leaders to take this debate head-on. But we have to do so with great sympathy for it. We are not attacking people with different approaches to this problem, we are working to save lives. We’ve seen what happens when this emotional debate reaches its climax – far-left extremists incendiary bombing Biden’s FBI didn’t get a meaningful answer. Violence cannot be included in this conversation. We must work together to bring the United States back into the mainstream and ensure that we put in place the same common-sense abortion restrictions that the majority of civilized nations support. Republicans are poised to lead the charge.
