Ronna McDaniel Pumps Brakes On Departure Rumors In Private Memo To RNC Members

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel dispelled rumors that she would resign in a memo sent to RNC members on Wednesday.

new york times report On Tuesday, McDaniel told former President Donald Trump that he plans to resign after South Carolina's Republican primary. The memo, obtained by the Daily Caller, tells party members that nothing has been decided yet and McDaniel remains party chairman.

“Amid the news cycle full of palace intrigue and speculation that surrounds us all, I want to remind you that as RNC Chairman I am still working hard, building the machine that elects Republicans at the polls. We want to reassure you,” the memo obtained by the Daily Caller begins.

“Myself and my staff refuse to be distracted by outside noise and remain fully committed to our mission. Rumors to the contrary are simply not true. Nothing has changed and we remain committed to our mission.” “No changes will be finalized until after the state of South Carolina,” the memo said.
