Americans believe their country is different from repressive countries known for jailing political dissidents, such as Russia and its treatment of Alexei Navalny. Remaining in this dream world is becoming increasingly difficult as the Biden administration targets conservative journalists in unusual ways, including through spy agencies.
Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker was taken into federal custody Friday and charged with four nonviolent misdemeanors related to his coverage of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
- 18 USC § 1752(a)(1) – knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds;
Without legal authority, - 18 USC § 1752(a)(2) – Disorderly and disruptive conduct in restricted buildings or grounds;
- 40 USC § 5104(e)(2)(D) – Disorderly Conduct in the Capitol;,
- 40 USC § 5104(e)(2)(G) – Parades, demonstrations, or picketing inside the Capitol.
There is nothing normal about this. Jailing journalists for their reporting shouldn't happen in America, yet we do it here. https://t.co/vPTTQiFksK

January 6th is a highly contentious issue, compounded by the reality that most of the “facts” surrounding that day are still hidden from the American public, and that thousands of hours of footage still need to be released. The problem has grown. What few Americans know about this infamous riot is the highly politicized hearings that Democrats and so-called Republicans held in the House of Representatives to make the participants look like bloodthirsty demons hunting down members of Congress. It was used.
Until some of the closed-door television footage from the Capitol on January 6 was released, footage shot by independent journalists like Baker, who was present on the day of the riot, showed that Americans were the cause of the arrests. It was the closest I could get to an honest understanding of what had happened. and crimes committed against the American people. One of Baker's attorneys, William Shipley, said he was among the unlucky people targeted by the federal government because he had been “stabbing them in the eye for three years.” .
i have to turn myself in @FBI At 7am the FBI (or US Marshals?) will transport me to the courthouse in Dallas where I can meet with my lawyer at 9:30am.
A hearing is then scheduled before a judge at 10am ⬇️— Steve Baker – TPC (@TPC4USA) February 28, 2024
Baker's Jan. 6 report appeared to reveal possible perjury by U.S. Capitol Police assigned to protect former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.in October 2023 Report Baker claimed on Blaze News that a Capitol Police officer appears to have given “false statements about his location during a significant encounter with members of the Oath Keepers.”
During the trial that ultimately found Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and member Kelly Meggs guilty of seditious conspiracy, U.S. Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus accused Oath Keepers of Oath Keepers, including Rose and Meggs, of seditious conspiracy.・He testified that he saw four members of the Keepers having a “hostile conversation.” USCP Police Officer Harry Dunn near the Speaker's Lobby. Baker said analysis of available surveillance footage shows that Lazarus could not have witnessed the four Oath Keepers engaging Dunn near the mini-rotunda. claims.
ITV News sent a journalist to Parliament House and captured Agent Lazarus appearing in the small rotunda at 2:58, but it was a journalist. @TPC4USA Steve Baker discovered footage showing that Lazarus was not here but in the tunnel minutes earlier. But Baker… pic.twitter.com/GCGRlwJoeH

“Includes three Blaze Media employees. [Steve Baker]And House Oversight Committee staff recently reviewed U.S. Capitol surveillance video and found that Special Agent Lazarus was not in that part of the Capitol at the time he claimed, but was actually in the lower tunnel leading to the Senate. “It appears to have been conclusively proven that they stormed an office building and escorted senators from the Capitol,” Baker reported. (ROOKE: Biden's border crisis exposes secrets of America's dirty foreign agents)
“By analyzing multiple surveillance camera footage and comparing the timelines associated with Officer Dunn's actual interactions with the Oath Keepers as seen on camera, we find that Lazarus was the last to arrive at the bottom of the stairs. “It's clear that after three and a half minutes on the stairs, the Oath Keepers were leaving and were making their way out of the Capitol building,” he said.
The biggest difference between journalist Luke Mogelson joining the Senate wing and journalist Steve Baker (@TPC4USA) Entry into the Senate Wing was that Baker used the door and Mogelson the window. But the government is indicting Baker, not Mogelson. pic.twitter.com/RrISf30Jqv

Baker also claimed that Dunn and Lazarus gave “conflicting accounts” of the alleged incident with the Oath Keepers. “Lazaro claimed that he saw Dan engaged in a scuffle with the Oath Keepers when Lazaro came up the stairs. Dan claims the opposite. “When he arrived, he saw Lazarus involved in a fight,” he reported. (Luke: A big issue you thought was over is about to shake up the Republican primary)
He also promised that the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have and will continue to create “versions of events that don't seem to have happened, versions of events that seem unlikely, to present to juries.” I guessed that it was. We'll be looking into this over the coming days and weeks. ”
My first thought was to deny the FBI at this moment.
But the more I thought about it, the more it became clear that the Biden Justice Department was pursuing journalists who exposed corruption within the U.S. Capitol Police.
A game for boys.

Most Americans have no idea what happened on January 6th outside of mainstream media and federal government-promoted reporting. The appalling reality is that independent journalists who do not support left-wing ideas are not allowed to ask serious questions about potential wrongdoing by the federal government.
The price is handcuffs and humiliation.
