It’s hard to accept the real evil that happened in New York City on Sunday when undocumented immigrant Sebastian Zapeta allegedly set a woman on fire on the subway.
The video of the horrifying attack almost looks fake. Because everything about it is so demonic that it’s hard to believe. How can a man set a woman on fire and then sit quietly fanning the flames while she burns to death? How is it possible that there are multiple videos showing this woman suffering and not a single man in the crowd tries to stop her? Why didn’t two police officers help her? Can you pass by?

This is a woman who was set on fire by illegal aliens in New York City. First of all, don’t do anything when a police officer walks by. The arsonist then began fanning the fire with his jacket, and the police walked past him as he lit the fire. The poor woman spent her last moments in fear. She was tortured to death as bystanders watched and police officers walked by without doing anything. Whether this attack is a product of failed immigration policy is a separate argument, but fundamentally, our world is marred by a lack of honorable people. Watching her die is horrifying enough, but rather than put an end to her suffering, the man sits back and watches it all unfold in peace as the system persecutes good men from society. It happens sometimes. For decades, we’ve been telling them that their masculinity and inherent desire to protect society’s most vulnerable is a toxic trait that needs to be groomed. .
If you think toxic masculinity is bad, wait until you meet feminine men. Eminent men are the most dangerous people on earth.

This conversation is not new. Our country just survived the trial of Daniel Penny, a former Marine who fought for freedom after saving a passenger from a hostile homeless man, Jordan Neely, in New York City. Penny subdues Neely, who threatens to kill other passengers on a New York City train. (Click here to sign up for Mary Luke’s newsletter “Good Life”)
Several witnesses praised Penny: herosaid Neely’s actions made them fear for their lives. “I was sitting on the train reading a book and all of a sudden I heard someone spouting rhetoric like this: He was like, ‘I don’t care if I have to kill F, I’ll kill.’ he said. I’m going to jail, I’m going to get shot,” said a female witness. said. He faced several years in prison for protecting his passenger, even though eyewitness testimony claimed Penny acted in self-defense. Penny was later acquitted. Paid Charged with second-degree manslaughter.

No wonder the men sat idly by and did nothing as they watched the Penny case unfold, with left-wing activists and politicians calling him a murderer and trying to ruin his life. (Luke: Caitlin Clark could have been a hero – instead she bent the knee to racist bullies)
This isn’t limited to New York. Such attacks are common across the United States. Because for decades we have allowed the idea that men should not be “white knights” to fester.

There is no excuse for their cowardice. But it’s understandable that not everyone wants to be another Daniel Penny. The horrors that unfolded in New York are a direct result of our society freeing the worst criminals and condoning their acts of violence while demonizing those who try to stop them.
What happened to Penny was a farce. He was supposed to be praised and given the keys to the city. Instead, he was called a murderer, arrested, and left at the mercy of a jury. As men watched that woman burn alive, it couldn’t be more clear that there are very few Daniel Pennys left in the world.
There is no easy solution to the evil we saw on Sunday. But the first step is to stop attacking men. We need their strength and the gentle stability that masculinity brings. Otherwise, we will continue to live in fear of the next violent attack.
