ROOKE: Vance Has The Power To Do Something For America No Other VP Has Ever Been Able To Accomplish

Vice President J.D. Vance was formally sworn into office with implicit powers never before wielded by a vice president.

No, we’re not talking about his ability to talk to blue-collar workers or his valuable insight into Silicon Valley. Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, are the first vice presidential couple in decades and young enough to bring about a baby boom in the United States.

America’s birth rate is is in decline Since 2007, the population has declined by approximately 19% between 2007 and 2022, reaching an all-time low in 2023. This is a serious problem in the broader debate about national identity. Yet, deep down, Americans often feel that economic and social factors discourage them from even considering starting a family.

Our nation desperately needs a baby boom similar to the one that followed World War II, when 42 million Americans were born between 1955 and 1964. President Donald Trump has promised to get the U.S. economy back on track, creating a tremendous opportunity for the American economy. The Vance family intervenes.

There’s no arguing that the Vance kids stole the show at Monday’s inaugural event, starting with youngest son Mirabelle and her Band-Aid fashion accessory. Not a single parent in this country looked at cute Mirabel’s bandaid and thought, “Oh no, what happened to her finger!” We all knew it was a toddler bribe. Mothers can picture Usha Vance telling Mirabelle that she can keep the band-aid on as long as she promises to be civil during the inauguration.

Later, at the Capital One Arena parade, Ewan Vance tousled his parents’ hair and his younger brother Vivek held on tight to a teddy bear. It was heartwarming to see the adorable family handle the responsibility of raising their young children in public with such grace. Still, the Vance family will need to take the lead in increasing the nation’s birth rate. Several babies were born in the White House, most of them children or nephews of the president. No vice president in the past century has expanded their family while in office. It’s not easy to ask the newly inaugurated Vice President and Mrs. Vance to take on additional parental responsibilities, but Mr. and Mrs. Vance, this country needs you.

To those who argue that it’s wrong to pressure them to expand their families, I say don’t do it. We should do this not only for the Vance family, but also for all of our friends and family members who are going through childbirth. Growing our family is the greatest gift God can give us. We should want to give this blessing to everyone we know.

If this administration is serious about changing our nation’s culture, which is blatantly anti-family and anti-children, the best way to do that is through individual leadership. What a great example it would set for the nation if the second couple could announce a birth while still in office. (Luke: Trump has a plan to save Los Angeles from Democrats)

Usha Vance is a talented lawyer. She clerked for two Supreme Court justices and worked as a litigator at a leading law firm in San Francisco. Her having another child will open the hearts of other women pursuing similar paths to do the same. Needless to say, she looked amazing at the inauguration event. Her fashion choices are perfect, each one better than the last, and we can’t wait to see how she styles her growing baby bump.

This couple is able to empathize on a level that no other second family could. This is a once-in-a-nation moment for America to accomplish something authentically American, but it won’t last long. For the first time in decades, Americans have hope for the future. The Vice President’s baby will say that hope is real and the second couple feels it too.
