“I have a question to ask, and this is just food for thought for everyone: If Coach Bryant or Coach Bowden suddenly came in with us tonight, what would they think about college football right now?” asked Saban.
“That's why we're all committed to doing what we can to make college football a place where players have a great quality of life and are given opportunities to grow, learn and develop.” “That should be the very reason why we're so successful,” he continued.
“I hope I can be a part of supporting the people who are working hard to make that happen, like Greg Sankey and Greg Byrne and our conference commissioners are trying to do. So it's very important for young people and it's something we're very passionate about.”
Previously, Saban said He plans to remain very active in his retirement to improve the game of college football. Using his voice and platform at events like this is just the beginning of what we can see from the next phase of The Best Thing Ever.
